Speaker Series - Don't Wait Until It's Too Late - Exercise is the One Thing That Can Give You Back Control

    November 12, 2024 7:00 PM EST

Join us to hear from Kristine Meldrum about what, when and how to exercise after your diagnosis.

    • If you don't start exercising as soon as you are diagnosed, you miss a window of opportunity to potentially put a PIN in the disease's progression.
    • The harsh truth is that this disease accelerates quickly with inactivity toward an earlier death, which Dr. Bloem, World PD expert, explains.
    • There is a specific way to exercise in order to reduce symptoms and potentially slow the progression of the disease.
    • For the benefit of care partners and those living around those with YOPD, the best thing that anyone living with PD can do is work to help manage, stabilize, and hopefully reduce their own systems through exercise.
